Collectors Vision: To create timeless rings Celebrating 50 years of their family business, to be presented at a special company event.
Idea Lab Concept: To design rings that have a high technical degree of complication, exudes class and commemorates their company Magnolia and their personalities.
- View all the separate components and the high level of technical inspiration.
- In order to create a piece symbolic of Magnolia and its meaning, I had to craft individual components, which would be cast in different colors of gold.
- Each unique component had to be measured with such precision in order to be fused together seamlessly.
- Once that is done, I have to figure out all the space available for the diamonds, sizing and setting.
- Each stone and size was selected individually to fit in the different areas of the ring.
- Every hole in the shank is drilled by hand, set by hand, and each prong that secures the stones is meticulously and delicately pressed by hand to ensure each stone is secure
- All personalization was hand lasered.
- To certify the work, each ring is hand engraved with the Steve Soffa signature for authenticity
- Then each piece is hand finished to make sure the entire edged are smooth and special cross finishes are applied.
- Once that is complete, a final inspection is done, then each piece is rhodium plated.
- A custom presentation box was designed for each ring with the Magnolia artwork painted on each box.
