In ancient Hawaiian mythology, the deity Lono is associated with fertility, agriculture, rainfall, music and also peace. Lono came to be known as a god of music and fertility who descended to Earth on a rainbow to marry Laka. In agricultural and planting traditions, Lono was identified with rain and food plants. However, as soon as he was able to roll his own cigars, Lono decided instead to run an underground sports book, where he now sits at the table of the Five Families.
